Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and/or child members. You will collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatric, and allied health professionals to plan and direct each individual member's treatment program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for the diagnosis, treatment, and/or referral of Health Plan members with acute or chronic mental illness.
- Participate in staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Instruct and counsel patients and their families regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and adherence to prescribed medication regimens, within the scope of practice.
- May administer specialized therapeutic procedures, as appropriate.
- Provide appropriate support to members' families.
- May develop and conduct psychoeducational classes and groups.
- PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university.
- Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire.
- National Provider Identifier required at hire.
- Knowledge of DSM-V as a means of diagnosis.
- Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and APA standards as it relates to client treatment, patient rights, and client/patient confidentiality.
- Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual, and group psychotherapy.
- Demonstrated experience in psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families, including administering and writing up psychological testing and assessment batteries.
- Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for assuming professional responsibilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
This is a part-time position with a variable schedule. The primary location is Union City Medical Offices A, with occasional travel to San Leandro Behavioral Health at 777 Davis St.
