Job Title: Eye Care Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Eye Care Specialist to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System.

About the Position:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of related experience and education, with 1-3 years of experience working in a clinical setting with an Ophthalmologist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform standard intake work-ups of patients, including visual acuity, medications, and summary of current complaint.
  • Document findings concisely and accurately.
  • Perform testing appropriate to service needs.
  • Consult with physicians as needed.
  • Supervise the flow of patients and their charts in and out of clinics.
Requirements:
  • National certification by the American Orthoptic Council as an Orthoptist (required within 1 year).
Compensation Package:

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
