Position OverviewThe Assistant Manager for the Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility will play a crucial role in managing the daily operations of a biofuel production site. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this position involves supporting the construction, initiation, and operational phases of the facility while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, oversee production workflows, address operational challenges, and uphold quality assurance protocols.
Core Responsibilities- Oversee plant operations to meet production and safety objectives
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure timely project completion
- Provide technical expertise and maintain quality control standards
- Assist in the formulation of operational procedures and standards
- Monitor and enhance production workflows
- Train and manage plant operators
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the facility
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies
- Associate degree or equivalent technical experience
- Minimum of 5 years in process production or the natural gas sector
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Understanding of gas compression and manufacturing processes
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Excellent multitasking abilities
- Proficient in using basic tools and instruments
- Physical capability for lifting and climbing tasks
- Comfortable working in confined or elevated spaces
