Job Summary

The Charge Nurse (RN) assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct/indirect nursing care to patients, families, and appropriate others under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director. This role requires coordination of multi-disciplinary team members, direction, and education of other nursing personnel to provide and facilitate optimal health care outcomes in accordance with MMH policies and procedures, standards, and philosophy.

Responsibilities
  • Assume shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct/indirect nursing care to patients, families, and appropriate others.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members to provide and facilitate optimal health care outcomes.
  • Direct and educate other nursing personnel to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Integrate nursing theory into practice using the nursing process.
  • Problem-solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • Preference of 1-3 years of experience in Emergency Nursing.
