Job Description

The Security Officer Lead will be responsible for supervising security operations, ensuring the safety and security of our hospital campus, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients, visitors, and staff. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and direct a team of security officers, respond to emergency situations, and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct a team of security officers to ensure the safety and security of the hospital campus.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as medical emergencies, fires, and security breaches.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential security risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and facilities, to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of security supervisory experience, with a strong background in law enforcement or a related field.
  • Certified as a Certified Healthcare Security Supervisor by the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) or equivalent certification.
  • Licensed as a Commissioned Security Officer by the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau or equivalent license.
  • Valid driver's license required; Texas driver's license preferred.
