About the Unit

We are a 22-bed unit specializing in the care of medical and surgical patients, with a focus on digestive diseases.

Our patient population is a mix of medical and surgical cases, including colorectal and bariatric surgical patients, as well as patients with bowel obstruction, kidney failure, cellulitis, and falls.

We are an accredited bariatric surgery center committed to continuous quality improvement for our patients.

We offer patient-focused inpatient care in 248 private patient rooms and outpatient services for medical, surgical, and specialty care, achieving high rates of patient satisfaction.

Scope of Work

As a team member, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider to deliver quality patient care.

You will perform basic skills per department guidelines and communicate observations to the healthcare team.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization, and acting as a safety attendant for patients.

You will ensure that required documentation is performed accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days.

Bariatric Unit, GR.

Full-time position.

Night shift.

36 hours per week.

Variable schedule, 6-week core schedule.

Every third weekend.
