Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Coordinate staffing with leadership to ensure patient care activities are completed.
    • Collaborate with the care team to deliver care to patients by following the nursing process.
    • Serve as a liaison and communicate effectively between providers, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
    • Rounds to ensure that medical assistants are following processes and that patient care is coordinated.
  • Patient Care and Assessment
    • Conduct patient triage and assessment following standard protocols.
    • Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV starts, and administering medications.
    • Observe signs and symptoms of illness and determine whether they exhibit abnormal findings.
  • Communication and Education
    • Attempt to resolve patient complaints or issues in real-time.
    • Provide explanations to patients and families regarding treatment plans.
    • Initiate referrals to in-house and community support services.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure facilities are clean and follow proper disposal procedures for hazardous materials.
    • Maintain accurate records and logs, including medication and immunization records.
  • Professional Development
    • Identify strengths and weaknesses in own work to improve performance.
    • Remain aware of goals set annually and work towards accomplishing them.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role or as a nurse leader.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
