Job Description:
An adjunct faculty position is available in the Master's in Education/Literacy Program at Providence College. The position involves teaching EDU851: Teaching Writing K-12, which presents writing instruction from a Science of Reading/structured literacy perspective.
The course will be offered in the summer and will meet in person on the Providence College campus. The literacy program prepares teachers for certification as PK-12 reading specialists/literacy consultants.
Essential Duties:
- Teach graduate-level courses in the summer
- Participate in program faculty meetings
- Participate in program accreditation preparation and visits
- Contribute to ongoing program improvement efforts
Education and Experience Required:
A Master's in Education is required for this position; reading specialist certification is preferred.
