The System Analysis division plays a crucial role within the Distribution sector, engaging in nearly every facet of delivering electrical services to our clientele. Each Electrical Engineer is tasked with executing engineering functions and projects that necessitate the application of engineering principles in a secure, effective, and efficient manner to achieve designated goals.

Key Responsibilities

The following activities will be undertaken, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct circuit loading and flow assessments utilizing CYME software.
  • Design circuit protection frameworks using CYME TCC software.
  • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reliability reports to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies for the designated region.
  • Provide 24/7 support to the Operations team for system-related issues.
  • Assist with Outage Restorations, which may involve travel to field locations.
  • Offer guidance on substantial customer load increases and service planning.
  • Formulate and evaluate improvement initiatives for the annual work agenda using the PVR tool.
  • Address customer inquiries and quality of service issues, which may require fieldwork.
  • Design and oversee the installation of Distribution Automation schemes (DACR).
  • Provide engineering support to the Distribution Design team.
  • Assist the Distribution Dispatch Center with load transfers and switching directives.
  • Install and configure settings for electronic devices, including reclosers, regulators, and capacitors.
  • Collaborate and communicate with various departments and teams across the organization.
  • Offer Project Management assistance during different phases of project development and construction.

  • Business Acumen: Displays a commitment to meeting the needs of both internal and external customers while adhering to economic analysis techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

This position is designed for recent graduates holding a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program. It is encouraged to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering examination as preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE).

Alternative qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) along with a Professional Engineer (PE) license in any U.S. state.
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
