The Master Technician is responsible for executing vehicle repairs and maintenance as assigned, adhering to dealership and manufacturer standards, while fostering customer loyalty through trust and confidence in AutoNation as a reliable service provider for vehicle safety and dependability. Our technicians benefit from an industry-leading pay structure, with earnings ranging from $40.00 to $50.00 per flat rate hour based on experience, alongside opportunities for additional incentives and longevity bonuses tied to a combination of experience and manufacturer certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting vehicle repairs and maintenance as specified on repair orders with precision and efficiency, in line with dealership and manufacturer standards to enhance customer loyalty.
- Regularly communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to effectively manage workflow and customer interactions.
- Diagnosing malfunctions and performing repairs as authorized by the customer.
- Carrying out comprehensive multi-point inspections to provide appropriate recommendations for ensuring the safety and reliability of customer vehicles.
- Documenting all work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Maintaining an inventory of standard technician tools not typically managed by the Service department as special tools.
- Staying updated on factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training sessions as necessary.
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience to foster loyalty.
The success of a Master Technician is evaluated based on:
- Achieving targeted production levels.
- Meeting sales targets.
- Attaining the desired Customer Satisfaction Index.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Relevant automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Valid in-state driver's license with a safe driving record.
