Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist III to join our team at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC). As a Certified Surgical Assistant, you will work collaboratively with surgeons and healthcare teams to provide optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide perioperative care and assist in surgical procedures under the direction of the surgeon.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and implement patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment in the operating room.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a surgical technologist.
  • Certification as a Surgical First Assistant (CFA or CSA).
  • Healthcare Provider CPR Certification (BLS).
  • Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and surgical techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a perioperative setting.
  • Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
