Job Summary
The Army National Guard is seeking a skilled Parachute Rigger to join our team. As a Parachute Rigger, you will be responsible for the safe deployment of aerial equipment, ensuring the integrity of parachutes and other airdrop gear. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will be crucial in maintaining the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Rig and inspect aerial equipment, including parachutes, cargo nets, and extraction systems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on airdrop gear, including patching, sewing, and storage
- Conduct technical inspections on parachutes and other airdrop equipment before, during, and after use
- Inventory, clean, receive, store, and issue airdrop equipment used in airdrop operations
- Use and maintain machines and tools for fabrication, modification, and repair of parachutes and other airdrop equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Strong attention to detail and technical expertise
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
