Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Summit Speech Therapy in Frisco, TX.

This is a part-time or full-time opportunity to work in a supportive and encouraging environment, providing occupational therapy services to patients with various physical disabilities and on the autism spectrum.

Responsibilities
  • Pass the National Board of Occupational Therapists (NBCOT) COTA examination.
  • Have at least two years of experience, including one year in a specific physical disability and/or with patients on the autism spectrum.
  • Hold current licensure with the Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners for Texas, or have temporary licensure in Texas, with completion of Texas licensure required within six months.
  • Be registered as a COTA by the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to frequent changes in the work environment.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving ability and leadership skills.
  • Have familiarity with personal computers, word processor, and spreadsheet software.
