Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rapid Response Team Registered Nurse to join our team at Methodist Hospital. As a member of our Rapid Response Team, you will be responsible for responding to patient care emergencies, including Code Blues, Heart Alerts, Stroke Alerts, and Sepsis alerts. You will work closely with bedside nurses to provide clinical knowledge and expertise, and will take on a teaching role to support the development of our nursing team.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to patient care emergencies, including Code Blues, Heart Alerts, Stroke Alerts, and Sepsis alerts
  • Collaborate with bedside nurses to provide clinical knowledge and expertise
  • Take on a teaching role to support the development of our nursing team
  • Perform surveillance to identify patients at risk for complications or becoming seriously ill
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program of nursing: diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate program
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
  • Current ACLS, NIH stroke scale certification
  • 3-5 years of recent experience in an ICU or an ER
  • Charge nurse experience preferred
