Waste Connections is seeking a dedicated CDL Route Driver focused on safety to become part of our expanding workforce.

COMPENSATION:
* $24-$30 per hour for 50-55 hours weekly. Overtime is paid for hours exceeding 40.
* $5,000 retention bonus
* Eligibility for safety performance bonuses

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Safely operate a refuse collection vehicle along designated routes to gather solid waste. Experience in waste management is a plus, but not mandatory.
* Accurately interpret route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety gear, and tires.
* Perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance.
* Utilize hydraulic controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of waste at designated sites.
* Engage courteously with customers and perform other related duties as required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Requires significant physical exertion, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.
* Work conditions may involve exposure to physical hazards, necessitating adherence to basic safety protocols.
* Employees may encounter outdoor weather conditions, including frequent wet or humid environments, as well as exposure to fumes and vibrations. Noise levels are typically moderate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement is required.
* Proficiency in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating in English.
* Basic knowledge of vehicle components for pre- and post-trip inspections.
* Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. Expectation of approximately 50-55 hours weekly with paid overtime.

* Candidates must be at least 21 years old to operate a commercial vehicle.
