Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in providing professional nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This involves preparing equipment, assisting physicians during examinations and treatments, administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs. The nurse observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress, while also participating in the planning and implementation of patient care as a primary nurse, associate nurse, or team member.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to established standards and guidelines.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
  • Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of patient care as a primary nurse, associate nurse, or team member.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
  • One year of experience in nursing is preferred, but new graduates are also considered.
  • Current Texas State RN License, CPR certification, and ACLS certification within six months of hire/transfer date.

We are proud to be affiliated with the Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center College of Medicine and accredited by the Joint Commission for our Chest Pain Center and Stroke Team.

Estimated Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
