Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States Girl Scouts of Eastern IA and Western IL Full time
Position Overview

Are you enthusiastic about fostering positive change in the lives of young individuals? The Girl Scouts of Eastern IA and Western IL is on the lookout for dynamic and dedicated professionals to fill the role of Community Engagement Facilitator. In this position, you will collaborate with fellow staff members to design and execute enjoyable and interactive programs for our Girl Scouts.

This role is tailored for those seeking a flexible part-time opportunity, covering the Corridor area. With a competitive pay rate of $15.00 per hour and a commitment of 10-15 hours per week, this position offers a unique chance to gain meaningful experience while enjoying your work. If you are eager to embark on a rewarding journey with the Girl Scouts, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

As part of your employment, you will enjoy benefits such as employee discounts, a flexible schedule, and a supportive work environment. The Girl Scouts are excited to welcome you.

Your Responsibilities as a Community Engagement Facilitator

Do you have a passion for making a difference in communities that are often overlooked? As a Community Engagement Facilitator with the Girl Scouts of Eastern IA and Western IL, you will have the chance to deliver our empowering programs to youth members in collaboration with local schools and other youth-serving organizations. Your role will be vital in developing and executing strategies to engage youth who may face challenges in participating in volunteer-led groups.

Qualifications for Success

To thrive in the position of Community Engagement Facilitator, there are several key skills and qualifications we are seeking. First and foremost, we value individuals who demonstrate self-management and confidence, as you will be responsible for independently delivering the Girl Scout program. Strong active listening skills are essential, as you will engage closely with youth members and their families to understand their needs and interests. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are crucial for effectively sharing information and building relationships with various stakeholders.

While prior experience working with youth is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess basic computer skills, be able to lift up to 35 lbs, hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and have access to reliable transportation.

If you meet these qualifications, we would be delighted to have you contribute to our mission.
