Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Machinist II to join our team at Waukesha Foundry. As a key member of our machine shop, you will be responsible for operating CNC vertical machining centers and lathes to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision metal parts, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Work with tolerances, checking own work with measuring instruments and documenting results.
  • Collaborate with the machining team to achieve production goals and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Position, align, and secure workpieces, selecting and preparing tools to meet varying conditions and materials.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of CNC controls, shop math, and blueprint reading skills.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of CNC controls, preferably Fanuc.
  • Strong shop math and blueprint reading skills.
  • Experience in using hoists and cranes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Positive outlook and a wide comfort zone.

Working Conditions:

This is a 2nd shift position, working Tuesday through Thursday from 2 pm to Midnight.
