Job Summary:
The Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound Technician II is responsible for performing high-quality cardiac ultrasound procedures, including M-MODE, 2D (real-time), PW/CW DOPPLER, COLOR FLOW IMAGING, TRANSESOPHAGEAL, and CONTRAST ULTRASOUND studies. This role requires a strong foundation in cardiac diagnostic ultrasound and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures according to established standards and guidelines, including those set by the American Society of Echocardiography.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in cardiac ultrasound procedures, including M-MODE, 2D, PW/CW DOPPLER, COLOR FLOW IMAGING, TRANSESOPHAGEAL, and CONTRAST ULTRASOUND studies.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to cardiac ultrasound services.
Requirements:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiac ultrasound procedures, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Completion of a Cardiac Diagnostic Ultrasound education program, with specialized knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, physics, principles, and procedures.

This role is part of the Diagnostic Imaging department at Salem Hospital, Inc. and requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
