About the Role:
HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Emergency Department team. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour (ENPC) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in an Emergency Department.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
