Key Responsibilities
  1. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans in electronic medical records (EMRs).
  2. Template Preparation: Prepare templates for patient visits prior to their arrival, ensuring all necessary information is included.
  3. Communication and Instruction: Provide clear instructions to patients, transmit prescriptions, and enter information into EMRs as directed by healthcare providers.
  4. Clerical Support: Perform various clerical duties, including answering phones, faxing documents, and scanning paperwork.
  5. Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments, x-rays, and lab tests, and prepare charts and medical records as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.
  • Language: Proficient in reading and interpreting documents, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense and problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
Work Environment

This role requires frequent talking, hearing, standing, and walking, with occasional kneeling, stooping, and crawling. The noise level is moderate, with constant conversations, computers, printers, and telephones.
