Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Technician to join our production team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating packaging equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate packaging equipment, including depalletizers, fillers, case packers, labelers, case erectors, and case sealers.
  • Conduct safety inspections and report any hazards or incidents to management.
  • Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
  • Follow good documentation practices and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Assist in the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of packaging lines.
  • Maintain plant and workspace cleanliness.
  • Stack boxes onto pallets, verify labels, and move them to designated areas.
  • Work a variety of positions on the packaging lines throughout the day.
  • Ensure product quality and meet standards of quality.
  • Perform daily cleaning and set-up following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Clean, lubricate, and inspect equipment.
  • Participate in training sessions and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and complete basic math calculations.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Keen attention to detail and awareness of safety precautions.
  • Ability to work with a team and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm. Extended shifts, overtime, and weekends may be required based on business needs. The ideal candidate will be flexible and able to work in a crowded, noisy manufacturing environment.
