Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a strategic plan to drive the department's growth and success
- Lead a team of engineers and provide guidance on technical and business development matters
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and strategic partners
- Oversee the development of standard operating procedures for Geotechnical Engineering services
- Perform quality inspections of department deliverables and provide coaching/training to teams as needed
- Contribute to the sales and profitability of the business through strategic business development
- Maintain awareness of the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, and new industry developments and standards
- Minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in the geotechnical engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development and client relations
- Demonstrated experience in leading organizational change
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification that is current and registered in at least one state
- Experience managing geotechnical projects at a holistic level
- Experience in the energy sector is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client and strategic partner relationships
