We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tribal Liaison to join our team at the California Department of Conservation. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing policies and procedures that support the needs of Native American tribes and their communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead tribal affairs initiatives across the department's divisions and programs
- Collaborate with tribal governments and communities to ensure their participation and inclusion in departmental decision-making
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that support tribal affairs
- Provide technical assistance and support to departmental staff on tribal affairs
- Represent the department in tribal affairs and provide liaison services to tribal governments and communities
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of tribal affairs and a proven track record of developing and implementing policies and procedures that support the needs of Native American tribes and their communities. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
