Position Overview

The Travel Radiology Technician plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services across various healthcare settings. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and patient care skills.

Certification Requirements
  • BCLS & ARRT certification is mandatory.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is necessary.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is needed.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) certification is essential.
  • Compliance with HIPAA Safety Manual is required.
  • License Verification must be completed within 30 days of employment.
  • NURSYS Verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP is necessary.
  • NIH Stroke Certification is required.
  • Completion of a Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam is necessary.
  • Competency Exam must be passed.
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam is required.
Job Responsibilities
  • Position/Specialty: X-ray Technician.
  • Years of experience required: Minimum of 1 year in interventional settings.
  • Weekend work is required: Every third weekend.
  • Certifications required: BCLS & ARRT.
  • On-call duty is necessary.
  • Special Requirements: Experience with EPIC is mandatory.
  • Preferred skills include familiarity with GE Siemens, PACS, and portable imaging equipment.
  • Charting will be conducted using EPIC.
Work Schedule
  • Shift Details: 2nd shift from 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with an 8 on 6 off rotation.
  • On-call responsibilities are required.
  • Mandatory weekend work every third weekend.

Unit Details: Focus on Radiology and Cardiology.
