Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Nurse RN with expertise in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing. This role requires flexibility to float to general operating room duties when CV cases are not scheduled.

Certification Requirements
  • Valid Illinois Registered Nurse license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Additional unit-specific certifications and licenses are advantageous
Job Responsibilities
  • Assess patients to identify their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to create, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families.
  • Utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient conditions.
  • Foster a positive workplace environment by effectively managing conflicts with professional communication skills.
  • Meet core measure responsibilities related to patient care.
  • Engage in ongoing education to enhance professional skills.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate medical records.
Work Schedule
  • 8-hour shifts with shared on-call responsibilities.
  • Start times vary based on the surgical schedule.
Unit-Specific Information
  • Flexibility in unit assignments is required, including potential rotations in Intensive Care, Progressive Care, and Interventional Imaging.
  • Relevant unit-specific certifications are considered beneficial.
