Ophthalmology Specialist

Willis Knighton Health is seeking a skilled Ophthalmology Tech to provide exceptional patient care in our physicians' office. The ideal candidate will coordinate and deliver care to patients under the direction of the clinic physician, participate in patient and family teaching, and work collaboratively with other healthcare members to maintain high standards of professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain all necessary equipment
• Perform accurate vision screenings, including testing distant acuity, near acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception
• Test field of vision, including central and peripheral vision for defects
• Examine the eye using a slit lamp for abnormalities of the cornea, anterior, and posterior chambers
• Provide information to patients and families regarding their disease process, diagnostic procedures, and/or surgery
Requirements:
• High school graduate
• Working towards an ophthalmology technician certification
• Previous ophthalmology experience or related field experience preferred
