Troon is seeking a highly skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Crimson Reserve Golf Facility. As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining a preventative maintenance program on all equipment, purchasing repair parts and replacement supplies, and ensuring accurate records of preventative maintenance and repairs made.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program on all equipment, including purchasing repair parts and replacement supplies.
  • Inspect, adjust, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in various types of golf course maintenance equipment.
  • Perform mower grinding/sharpening, general overhaul of motors and reels, installs and adjusts braking systems.
  • Perform machining or welding work in making fittings used in repair of maintenance equipment.
  • Ensure accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs made, and parts ordered are kept.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of light and heavy construction and maintenance equipment and automotive apparatus.
  • Maintain skills in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools and in the making of various types of mechanical repairs.
  • Diagnose mechanical troubles and schedule appropriate preventative maintenance work.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and safe maintenance area.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Certificate from college or technical school or golf course related experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls. Occasionally sits, climbs or balances. Regularly talks or hears. Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally may lift up to 100 pounds.
