Job Summary

Marine Ventures International is seeking a highly skilled Cook/Steward to join our team. This critical position plays a vital role in managing provisions, menus, and galley operations aboard our vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement menus, purchase requisitions, and provision budgets.
  • Coordinate the stowage and monitoring of food and non-food items, including refrigeration and pest control.
  • Prepare and serve meals to crew and customers, ensuring balanced and nutritious options.
  • Maintain galley, dry stores, and mess deck areas, including cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Restock condiments, napkins, and other consumables, and manage waste disposal.
  • Collaborate with the Master to develop menus and budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.

Requirements:

  • USCG food handler endorsement.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in at-sea food preparation and planning.
  • Basic knowledge of seamanship, ship operations, and safety procedures.
