Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Radiologic Technologist at ThreePDS Inc., you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality radiographs of patients within the department and with portable equipment in a timely manner. You will comply with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment, and operate radiographic equipment safely and competently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain quality radiographs of patients within the department and with portable equipment in an acceptable timeframe.
  • Comply with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self, utilizing Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and competently.
  • Perform all necessary computer operations, including Meditech and PACS.
  • Ensure proper charges are entered and referring physician's orders are verified.
  • Rend patient care in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation.
  • Maintain room cleanliness and neat appearance of work areas and dressing rooms.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents, and all types of care to the patient.
  • Review each exam for technical accuracy and complete verification process in PACS.
  • Assist Diagnostic Supervisor with PACS clean up.
Education and Certification

Graduate of AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology. Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure. Certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider are required. Preferred certifications include Society of Radiologic Technology and Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology.

Experience

Minimum of one year as a Rad Tech. However, new graduates are also welcome to apply. Shifts include week nights, evenings, and days, with call responsibilities.
