Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our bakery team as a Bakery Team Member. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe store environment, and assisting with sales and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for customers, answering questions and providing product recommendations to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the bakery and sales floor, to ensure a safe and healthy shopping experience for customers.
  • Sales and Inventory Management: Assist with sales and inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure accurate stock counts.
  • Product Preparation: Prepare bakery items, including wedding cakes, cupcakes, and other sweet treats, using proper equipment and techniques to ensure high-quality products.
  • Decorating and Presentation: Decorate cakes, pastries, and other bakery items to ensure visually appealing displays and presentations.
  • Merchandising and Display: Label, stock, and sign merchandise to ensure accurate and attractive displays, and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, report discrepancies to management, and assist with ordering and receiving merchandise to ensure accurate stock counts.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and inventory management goals, and provide support and assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, including verbal and written communication, to ensure clear and concise communication with customers and team members.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and calculating, to ensure accurate inventory management and sales transactions.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales and inventory management goals, and provide support and assistance as needed.
