Behavioral Health Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in implementing behavioral health treatments for children with ASD and other developmental disabilities. You will work closely with our clients and their families to develop and implement personalized treatment plans, providing 1:1 care and support in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 care and support to clients with ASD and other developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including in-home, at a support center, or in a community.
- Implement established behavioral treatment plans based on the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA) across skill levels, moderate to severe problem behaviors, and service delivery settings.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of client progress, interventions, and outcomes.
- Collect data related to client progress during treatment sessions.
- Incorporate activities and games that are developmentally appropriate and engaging for the client in alignment with the treatment plan.
- Promote client engagement to build their strengths in a natural and enjoyable manner.
- Consult with case supervisors on treatment plans, client updates, and intervention strategies.
- Participate in ongoing training, guidance, and support to ensure the highest level of care and support for our clients.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation.
- Successful completion of a Live Scan background check, employment verification, and TB screening.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs while assisting consumers.
- Ability to run, bend, sit, and stand for long periods at a time.
- Empathy and compassion towards the families we support.
- Maintains professional demeanor, boundaries, and composure.
- Demonstrates effective communication and ability to implement existing behavioral plans.
- Ability to connect with clients and families by adapting to their specific needs.
- Comfortable working in clients' homes and in a variety of settings.
- Competitive compensation ($20.00-$23.00/hour).
- Monday-Friday schedule between 3:00pm-8:00pm.
