We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health.
Job Summary:The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for operating x-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by a physician. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body.
- Maneuver portable radiographic equipment in patient care areas and in surgery as required.
- Assist radiologists in performing fluoroscopic examinations.
- Perform radiographic examination in surgery as required.
- Operate all components of the Digital Imaging System.
- Assist radiologists in performing mini-special procedures in the fluoroscopic suites.
- Perform radiographic procedures on Level I Trauma patients to expedite immediate care of critically ill patients.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
- Certificate or Assoc. Degree in Radiology Technology.
- Previous experience is desirable.
The Radiology Technologist will be required to work weekends, holidays, and emergency call backs in order to accommodate staffing needs. May be exposed to radiation during procedures. May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time, or be required to lift and move patients. May be exposed to hazardous materials, infectious disease, and required to participate in annual emergency drills.
