Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Meat Department Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our meat department team, you'll be responsible for ensuring effective and profitable operations through sales maximization and team member growth.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process deliveries, breakdown loads, and rotate cooler stock.
- Weigh, price, and label products.
- Stock cases and prepare valued-added products.
- Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
- Manage inventory, sales, and labor targets.
- Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandising plans.
- Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
- Train team members and manage the department in the meat manager's absence.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
- Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position.
- Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used to perform this job.
- Must be able to work in a cold environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
