About the Role

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our nursing team as a Float Resource. This dynamic role involves providing top-notch patient care in a variety of settings, including critical care, emergency departments, and women's and babies units.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and highly motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. As a Registered Nurse with Penn State Health, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, assess their health needs, develop and implement personalized care plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate medical records
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care
  • Floating between various clinical areas, including critical care, emergency departments, and women's and babies units
Requirements
  • CURRENTLY LICENSED TO PRACTICE AS A REGISTERED NURSE BY STATE OF EMPLOYMENT OR HOLDS A MULTISTATE RN LICENSE THROUGH THE INTERSTATE NURSE LICENSURE COMPACT REQUIRED.
  • BLS REQUIRED BEFORE ORIENTATION COMPLETION.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in critical care, emergency department, and/or women's and babies preferred.
