Job Overview

Talem Home Care - Milwaukee is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Care Provider to provide unskilled personal care and household services for clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with household chores, personal hygiene, and provide companionship to ensure clients' spaces are clean, safe, and organized.
  • Provide transportation for clients to appointments and errands.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license or state ID.
  • Access to a reliable automobile or public transportation.
  • Completion of a twenty-hour training program or six months of personal care experience in a home care setting preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to stand, kneel, bend at knees, and squat throughout the day.
  • Ability to safely assist clients in and out of a vehicle and safely lift a wheelchair or walker weighing up to 50lbs into and out of a vehicle.
  • Physical ability to lift and transfer clients.
  • Use arms, legs, feet, hands, and fingers to assist clients with performing tasks of daily living.
  • Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as lifting, light housekeeping, walking, and driving.
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Ability to see and hear well (naturally or with correction).
