Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radiation therapy to patients with cancer, ensuring accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Prepare and position patients for treatment, selecting anatomic parameters accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians and dosimetrists to deliver patient treatment plans.
  • Maintain detailed records of all therapy sessions, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards and guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Cardiographic Tech, Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiation Therapy, or Medical Sonographer.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree required.
