Workforce Development Instructor

The Workforce Development Instructor at Tierra Del Sol Foundation plays a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their employment goals. This position requires a sincere desire to help others be successful and a strong commitment to providing high-quality training and support.

1. Training and Support: Provide one-on-one and small group training to individuals in specific job skills and general work behaviors, ensuring they meet employer standards and expectations.
2. Job Analysis: Conduct job analysis in cooperation with employers to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for success.
3. Community Access: Assist individuals in accessing various community locations using company/personal vehicles/public transportation, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
4. Supervision and Training: Provide supervision and training to associates in community access skills, self-advocacy, and social/leisure skills, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
5. Communication: Maintain regular communication with employers regarding employee performance, work schedules, and quality assurance, ensuring a collaborative and effective working relationship.

• Education: High School Diploma or higher; a Bachelor's degree in Social Service/Rehabilitation is a plus.
• Experience: Three years of good driving experience, a valid California driver's license, personal vehicle with seatbelts to safely accommodate up to 4 passengers, and vehicle insurance.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a sincere desire to help others be successful.

• Competitive Pay: Starting rate of $21.10 per hour.
