Position Title: Advanced Hair Stylist

At Sabour Beauty Salon & Wellness, our stylists are not just service providers; they are integral to our brand identity. As an Advanced Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding hair care services while embodying our core values and commitment to client satisfaction. Your role will involve continuous professional development through in-salon training and external workshops, ensuring you remain at the forefront of industry innovations. Below are the key responsibilities, duties, and qualifications required for this position:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultations: Engage in detailed discussions with clients to assess their preferences and provide tailored recommendations for hair care services.
  • Hair Services: Execute a variety of hair services, including shampooing, cutting, styling, coloring, and highlighting, ensuring clients leave with their desired results.
  • Health and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in your work area, providing a safe and welcoming environment for clients.
  • Product Expertise: Guide clients in selecting appropriate hair care products, highlighting their benefits and suitability for individual needs.
  • Client Relationship Management: Utilize our client management system to foster strong relationships, ensuring exceptional service and loyalty.
  • Business Growth: Participate in initiatives aimed at attracting new clientele, contributing to the salon's success.
  • Ongoing Education: Attend training sessions to stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in hair styling.
  • Product Recommendations: Suggest at-home hair care products that align with clients' needs, promoting sustained care beyond their salon visit.
  • Workplace Organization: Keep your workspace tidy and organized to maintain a professional atmosphere.
  • Brand Representation: Actively promote and represent the values of Sabour Beauty Salon & Wellness, engaging with clients and participating in community outreach.

Duties:

  • Deliver precise and creative hair cutting, styling, and coloring services.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and continuously enhance your skills through education.
  • Engage clients in meaningful consultations, offering personalized service.
  • Adhere to hygiene standards, ensuring tools and equipment are properly sanitized.
  • Demonstrate product usage and benefits to clients, supporting retail sales.
  • Utilize the client management system effectively to enhance client retention.
  • Contribute to the salon's online presence by sharing your work and engaging with clients.
  • Participate in community events to promote the salon's visibility.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of hair styling techniques and hair care products.
  • Ability to engage with clients on social media or willingness to have work featured online.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and grooming at all times.
  • Dedication to providing luxury service to clients and colleagues.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid state-issued cosmetology license required.
  • Preferred experience of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Preferred certification from a recognized cosmetology program.
  • Possession of salon-quality tools and equipment.

In addition to the general qualifications, an Advanced Hair Stylist at Sabour Beauty Salon & Wellness is expected to meet specific criteria that reflect a higher level of expertise in hair care:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience in hair styling.
  • Clientele: Established client base of 10-20 clients upon joining.
  • Certifications: At least one certification in advanced hair cutting, coloring, or styling techniques.
  • Professional Online Presence: Active professional social media presence with a following of 100-1K or more, showcasing work and engaging with the audience.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow stylists to foster a positive salon environment.
  • Continued Education: Pursue ongoing education in the latest beauty trends and techniques.
  • Client Consultation Skills: Develop strong communication skills to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Operational Support: Assist in the daily operations of the salon.
  • Brand Commitment: Uphold the salon's brand image through professionalism and adherence to standards.
