Schunk Xycarb Technology, a leading international organization with locations across the US, Asia, and Europe, is seeking a skilled Glassblower/Quartz Welder for our 1st Shift and 2nd Shift in Georgetown, Texas.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience manufacturing quartz materials in a scientific or industrial glassblowing environment, with demonstrated precision welding ability. The role involves performing complex glass working tasks, fabricating delicate quartz products, and ensuring a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA and EHS&R requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various quartz fabrication equipment such as lathes, hydrogen/oxygen torches, annealing ovens, and Automation Robots.
  • Fabricate complex and precise quartz products for the semiconductor industry.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team to achieve quality and efficiency goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., mechanical engineering, materials science).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in glassblowing, quartz fabrication, or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on experience.
