Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer to join our team at Digital Consultants, LLC. As an RF Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing RF test plans and procedures to ensure the successful execution of standards conformance and interoperability certification testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and modify existing test plans and procedures to determine if existing procedures are sufficient for a waveform test technician to execute.
  • Develop new test plans and procedures to ensure the efficient and accurate testing of RF systems.
  • Attend working group meetings for new and existing standards to stay up-to-date on the latest RF testing requirements.
  • Execute test equipment setup, perform functionality checks on equipment, and setup and configure equipment for new and existing capabilities.
  • Provide engineering assistance to the test team technicians before, during, and after test execution.
  • Recommend equipment, facility, or capability for upgrade, replacement, or discontinuation associated with the annual lab modernization effort.
  • Develop test scripts, programs, and procedures to automate testing and increase lab efficiency.
Requirements
  • Clearance: This position requires an active Secret security clearance on hire date with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
  • Required Certifications: Requires at least 1 certification in the area of specialization.
  • Education, Background, and Years of Experience: Requires a Doctorate and at least 4 years of experience; a Master's degree and at least 10 years of experience; or a Bachelor's and 16 years of experience.

  • Required Skills:
    • Experience with component-level RF circuit characterization and optimization.
    • Experience with RF test equipment including spectrum analyzer, signal generator, and network analyzer.
    • Experience with automated test scripts and software tools.
    • Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of complex tasks.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work without supervision.
    • Excellent written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Environmental Conditions
  • Contractor site. Possible off-hours work to support releases and outages. General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.
