Boatyard Laborer

Join our team as a Boatyard Laborer - Full Time Position at Wayfarers Cove Marina And Beach LLC

This full-time position involves performing various tasks related to boat maintenance, repair, and service. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the marine industry, excellent physical abilities, and a positive attitude.

Estimated Salary: $42,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the movement of equipment and materials around the boatyard
• Performing general boat repair, maintenance, and service work, such as power washing, scraping, waxing/buffing, bottom painting, and zinc replacement
• Managing hauling, launching, and blocking of boats, placing boat stands properly
• General building/shop and yard maintenance, grounds maintenance, and marina cleanliness
• Operating yard machinery, including a 60-Ton Travellift, power washer, etc.
• Running errands and picking up supplies
• Assisting with docking and tying up vessels as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience preferred, but not required
• Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
• Ability to ascend and descend a ladder, prolonged periods of kneeling, bending, standing
• Ability to work near or on large bodies of water, at various heights, and in confined spaces
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
• Mechanical skills/operating experience preferred
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Detail-oriented and ability to multitask are essential skills
• Ability to follow regulatory guidelines and safety standards
• Ability to operate small engines, working near or in the water. A boat operator's license is a plus.
