Job Title: Clinic Aide

Join our team as a Clinic Aide and play a vital role in providing healthcare services to students in the Dublin City School District.

Job Summary:

The Clinic Aide will assist the school nurse in providing routine clinic and emergency health care services to students, following policies, guidelines, and procedures established by the school nurse, principal, state, and the District.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide and document all first aid care and treatment to ill and injured staff and students, as well as preventative care for students with chronic health conditions.
  • Perform nursing delegated procedures as indicated by doctor's orders.
  • Properly set up, administer, and record all medications dispensed in the clinic according to District Policy and Guidelines.
  • Assist in the control of communicable diseases.
  • Assess, record, and maintain all student immunizations to comply with the District's Immunization Policy, and inform parents of non-compliance.
  • Maintain and enforce compliance of all student emergency medical authorization forms.
  • Perform health screenings and recording of student test results.
  • Maintain awareness of all current student health concerns for the building.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining all clinical supplies and equipment within a budget set by the building principal.
  • Comply with all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations for the maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment and machines [OSHA].
  • Assist the nurse in the surveillance and control of communicable disease.
  • Participate in the identification of students suspected of being abused or neglected.
  • Comply with all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations for the storage, use, and disposal of trash, rubbish, waste, and hazardous material [OSHA].
  • Maintain effective communications with the building nurse.
  • Ensure the safety of students.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
  • Remain free of any alcohol or nonprescription controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout employment in the district.
  • Exhibit professional behavior, emotional stability, and sound judgment.
  • Serve as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, and intelligent human beings.
  • Understand the legal responsibility to help instill in students the belief in, and practice of, ethical principles and democratic values.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect for confidential information at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
Terms of Employment:

189 days (181 work days; 8 paid holidays) 7 hrs. per day or the equivalent excluding lunch. Salary as provided by the Negotiated Agreement. Work year to be established by the Board of Education.

Salary: $20.86/HR. - $23.06/HR.
