Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Henry Ford Rochester Hospital. As a key member of our Anesthesiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthetic care to patients undergoing various medical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Administer anesthetic care to facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures.
  • Perform and document pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients.
  • Develop and implement anesthetic plans of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluations and care.
  • Select, obtain, and administer anesthetic plans of care, including induction, maintenance, and emergence phase anesthesia.
  • Recognize alterations in physiologic responses to surgical procedures and/or anesthetics, take appropriate action, and notify responsible physicians as indicated.
Requirements
  • Nurse Anesthetist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire, but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.

Education
  • Master's or Doctorate of Nursing Anesthesia Practice or Nursing Practice required.
