Job Summary

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Department of Hospital Medicine. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory or inpatient settings, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians.
  • Participate in the comprehensive care of patients, including routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures.
  • Manage chronic stable medical conditions and provide patient care in age groups based on educational preparation and licensure.
  • Develop and implement standards of care for specified patient populations and demonstrate self-direction and accountability.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current, active, unrestricted California Registered Nurse license.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • Current, active, unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Current, active, unrestricted Furnishing license and DEA registration.
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
