Production Engineer Role Overview

Compensation Package

The salary for this Production Engineer role ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze manufacturing and kitting processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S and Six Sigma, to reduce waste and improve workflow.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions to ensure compliance by production teams.
  • Collaborate with operations to design production schedules that optimize line utilization and labor efficiency.
  • Monitor production metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend and implement new technologies or productivity tools to enhance utilization.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to implement and maintain quality control measures.
  • Troubleshoot production issues related to defects or equipment malfunctions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or kitting environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of production environment and line balancing.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance practices and root cause analysis.
