Veterinary Receptionist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a key member of our hospital team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, ensuring the smooth flow of clients and pets through the hospital, and maximizing the productivity of our veterinary medical team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Cycle of Service for the veterinary medical team, actively recruiting new clients and routing the flow of clients and pets to ensure superior client care and maximum productivity.
- Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through a "come in now" environment.
- Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times, welcoming clients and pets, and educating them about their pet's health.
- Assist incoming clients by completing required documentation, entering pet information and history in the computer, and ensuring prompt service.
- Assist outgoing clients by providing necessary instructions, information, and invoices, dispensing prescription items, and scheduling future appointments.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- One year related experience required, with customer service preferred.
- Medical background with medical terminology training is preferred.
This position requires special hours, including working weekends and evenings, and may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties. The noise level in the work environment is moderately high, and the associate is routinely exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch.
