We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN specializing in Med/Tele to join our dedicated team at CHI St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
Certification Requirements- Mandatory Certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Unit: Med/Tele RN 6025
- Experience Required: Candidates must possess PCU experience and be proficient in reading cardiac strips. Familiarity with EPIC is preferred, and first-time travelers are welcome.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ensuring timely interventions.
- Administer and titrate medications as per protocols, including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, and Lasix.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Shifts: 7 AM - 7 PM, 7 PM - 7 AM; rotating shifts will not exceed weekly.
- Weekend and Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday.
- Floating Requirements: Flexibility to assist in various units as needed.
- Bed Capacity: 32 beds
- Charge Nurse Role: Charge nurses are present on each shift and may take a light patient load.
- Equipment: Proficiency in handling Bipap, trachs, and airvo devices is required.
- Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:4-5, with occasional adjustments on nights.
- Common Patient Diagnoses: Adults and geriatrics with cardiac conditions, including post-cardiac procedures and acute respiratory issues.
- Orientation: Two 12-hour shifts of unit-specific orientation.
- Dress Code: Any color scrubs are acceptable.
- Radius Rule: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility.
- Time Off: Requests for time off must be submitted upfront.
