**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Physical Therapist to join our team at St. Louis Children's Hospital, a world-renowned pediatric healthcare institution. As a key member of our sports medicine team, you will have the opportunity to work with patients of all ages, from young athletes to adults, providing expert care and treatment in a dynamic and supportive environment.

**About the Role**

This is a 12-month residency program designed to provide post-professional clinical, didactic, and educational experiences while practicing as a provider of patient care services within the specialty area. As a Resident Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing assessment, reassessment, and/or consultations for physical therapy services and developing treatment plans considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status, and appropriate equipment and supplies.
  • Participating in clinical mentoring and research experiences through working with St. Louis Children's Hospital Sports Physical Therapy residency mentors and staff.
  • Participating in weekly education sessions to enhance knowledge of sports medicine.
  • Participating in sports medicine training with local community partners and providing rehabilitation services on site under the supervision of the athletic trainer or physical therapist on site.

**Requirements**

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study.
  • No prior experience required, but a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (PT) and 2-5 years of experience are preferred.
  • A Physical Therapist License.
