Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Freight Dispatcher to join our team at AppleOne. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily movement of freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the pickup, delivery, and tracking of freight orders
  • Match arrival notices, dispatch orders to drayage, document, and invoice
  • Track shipments to ensure timely delivery
  • Maintain communication with customers, carriers, and other transportation personnel
  • Monitor and update order status in the transportation management system
  • Resolve any customer issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate any delays or other potential issues to the customer
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of freight dispatching experience required
  • Freight forwarding experience preferred
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Proficient in transportation management systems and other related software
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
